LCC Foundation Supports LCC Athletics

LCC is renowned for its stellar athletics program – 85% of the LCC student body participates in school sports teams and clubs, and many have won CIF or State team or individual titles over the years. But the LCC athletics program would not be what it is without the generous and dedicated support of our families and local businesses. The San Dieguito Union High School District pays for a head coach for each Varsity and JV CIF team and a limited number of assistant coaches for larger teams; all teams also have access to the school facilities and trainer. However, each team is responsible for raising funds to pay for everything else – additional assistant coaches, upgraded uniforms, some equipment, meet/game & tournament entry fees, team meals & travel outside of SD county, the end-of the season banquet, and coaches’ gifts.

The Maverick Athletics Board (MAB) exists to enhance our student athletes’ LCC experience and provide opportunities for them to reach their full potential in their chosen sport(s). Some of our teams raise sufficient funds through their annual voluntary parent donations to cover operating expenses, while others rely on outside fundraising efforts. Coaches do not see which families contribute, and parent donations do not impact player eligibility or participation. Your financial support is crucial to providing the awesome tradition of the LCC Athletics experience.
